This is what a leading manufacturer based in the North East of England was facing in early 2017. After a run of challenging years, they had decided that injecting fresh energy and expertise was not only the way to steady the ship, but drive the business forward. Having previously dealt with Hybrid Search team, the Engineering Business Manager approached them to secure the crucial recruitment needs of his engineering management team.
A business dinner at a restaurant in the North East with the COO and Hybrid Search’s directors followed, leading to the team’s first search projects; a Head of Mechanical Engineering and Head of EI Engineering.
Securing the high potential candidates required to drive the business forward proved difficult, with site location and stiff competition being able to provide higher salaries playing the main protagonists. The Commercial Manager was in need of a new Sales & Operational Planning Manager and also facing the resignation of the top performing Account Manager, who was leaving after a 20 year tenure. Two crucial roles were also required by the Group IT Manager, needing an IT Migration Manager for a major project and replacing the retiring Software Manager. Hybrid Search delivered again on all counts.
With the pieces falling into place, the manufacturer and Hybrid Search turned their attention to a Business SHE Manager role that would be responsible for their 3 sites in the UK and Europe. Another search for a high performing individual was followed by another successful placement.
Through headhunting top level candidates within the Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Steel and Food Manufactuing sectors, Hybrid Search placed nine high performers into the company in less than a year, building a foundation capable of overcoming immediate obstacles and driving future success.
